Endemic and endangered species conservation

The impacts of human activities on the endemic and/or endangered species are highly uncertain. These stem from the fact that the biology of those species are not well studied and poorly modeled. My early work focused on understanding the factors that limit the population of endangered species, such as vultures in northern Greece (Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus, Cinereous Vulture Aegypius monachus) [1] and in Cyprus (Griffon Vulture Gyps fulvus) [2]. While in Forestry Service I have expanded my studies to other globally endangered species (Lesser Kestrel Falco naumanni, Bonelli’s Eagle Aquila fasciata) as well as to endemic species (Cyprus wheatear Oenanthe cypriaca).
